Maharashtra State Handloom Corporation was established in the year 1971. The main objective of the Handloom Corporation is to keep the Handloom activities alive from a social perspective to preserve the traditional handloom trade in Maharashtra, to maintain the identity of high-quality cloth produced by skilled weavers, and to provide employment to skilled weavers.
